Seed treatment training to farmers by Jindal Stainless

Groundnut is an important cash crop for the farmers of Jajpur, Odisha, and also a popular crop in the region. However, farmers have been facing certain problems in groundnut cultivation for a while, which are associated with soil-borne and seed-borne diseases, negatively impacting the overall crop productivity and yield. To address these issues, the NGO partner of Jindal Stainless Foundation, Gram Unnati Foundation, initiated awareness generation campaigns on the importance of seed treatment with the farmers. In line with this campaign, doorstep delivery of high quality and scientifically recommended seed treatment chemicals is also being done for the farmers. Over 115 farmers from Dharamsala, Danagadi and Rasulpur blocks participated and benefited from these campaigns.
