New Delhi/Mumbai, May 10, 2023: Setting new benchmarks in safety at workplace, Jindal Stainless received the coveted International Safety Awards by the British Safety Council for the fourth consecutive year for its steps to ensure safe and secure work environment for its employees. The award ceremony was held on May 10 in Mumbai, and Mr Sudhir Kumar, Head, Environment, Health and Safety, Jindal Stainless, and Mr Ashok Rana, Vice President (Steel Melting Shop – SMS, SMS Raw Material & Submerged Arc Furnace – SAF) in Hisar, Jindal Stainless, received the award on behalf of the company. The company won the award in the topmost category of “Distinction”.
Commenting on the achievement, Managing Director, Jindal Stainless, Mr Abhyuday Jindal, said, “Safety has always been a top priority for us at Jindal Stainless, and we are pleased to have been recognized with this prestigious award for the fourth time in a row. The company organises monthly safety awareness campaigns, mock drills and hands-on training for material handling equipment, along with mandatory safety induction training for all visitors which are delivered with the help of a digitized safety system.
