Jindal Stainless Foundation trains farmers in the benefits of azolla farming

Jindal Stainless Foundation provided fish farmers from the village Artia, Odiso GP in Rasulpur with training and awareness regarding the benefits of azolla farming. This was done in partnership with the the NGO executing farmers’ development projects and the Gram Unnati Foundation. Farmers were provided with azolla seeds for cultivation and continuous follow ups were conducted by the field staff. This small intervention resulted in adoption of azolla cultivation by other farmers in their paddy fields as well, to enrich Nitrogen content in the soil.
