India starts levying CVD on stainless pipes and tubes from China, Vietnam

On June 15, the Directorate General of Trade Remedies (DGTR), under the Ministry of Commerce, confirmed the continuation of countervailing duties (CVD) on these products, concluding that lifting the duties would negatively impact India’s domestic steel producers. The CVD was initially imposed in September 2019, and the DGTR commenced a sunset review on the imports of these products.
