Worldstainless: Global stainless steel production increases in H1 2024

World Stainless Association statistics reveal that global stainless steel production reached 30.40 million tonnes in the first half of 2024, marking a 6.3% year-on-year increase. Worldstainless also forecasts a 4% growth in global stainless steel consumption for 2024, followed by a 3% rise in 2025. Consumption of cold-rolled stainless steel sheets is projected to grow by 4.7% in 2024 and 1.5% in 2025.
