Golden Grass Project supported by Jindal Stainless Foundation

In 2018, the Jindal Stainless Foundation, in collaboration with Mudra Foundation, started the Golden Grass Weaving Project. The project aims to improve skill sets of the traditional artisans of Antia Village in Jajpur, Odisha.
Already in its second phase, the project has not gone international. Focus of the project has shifted on tapping into international markets for the sale of the handicraft items. The finished products are shipped to Tokyo, Japan for their final sale. The Project has also been showcased at an exhibition in Japan.
What’s noteworthy is that the project continued to be operational even during the times of COVID-19, helping its members earn livelihoods during challenging times.
