Hisar, December 20, 2024: Jindal Stainless’ Hisar unit has been awarded with the distinguished Sword of Honour from the British Safety Council. This global accolade highlights the company’s unwavering commitment to upholding the highest standards of occupational health and safety.
The Sword of Honour is presented to organisations demonstrating excellence in managing occupational health and safety risks. In 2024, Jindal Stainless distinguished itself as one of only 71 organisations worldwide to receive this recognition – highlighting the company’s robust safety culture and operational excellence.
Managing Director, Jindal Stainless, Mr Abhyuday Jindal, commented on the achievement, stating, “This honour reflects our relentless focus on safety and operational excellence at Jindal Stainless. We remain committed to fostering a safe and secure working environment for our employees, partners, and stakeholders. This recognition further strengthens our resolve to uphold world-class safety standards as we progress on our journey towards sustainable growth.”
Eligibility for the Sword of Honour requires organisations to achieve a five-star rating in the British Safety Council’s health and safety management audit scheme, conducted between August 1, 2023, and July 31, 2024. The company’s Hisar unit not only met this rigorous criterion but also demonstrated outstanding safety practices at every level of the organisation, earning recognition from the independent adjudicating panel.
Senior Vice President and Unit Head, Jindal Stainless, Hisar, Mr Vijay Bindlish, said, “Safety is our highest priority at Jindal Stainless. Our commitment to achieving zero incidents reflects our dedication to maintaining the highest safety standards. This recognition is a testament to the collective hard work, discipline, and focus of our team, ensuring a secure and safe environment for everyone.”
