Jindal Stainless bags seven gold awards at the International Convention on Quality Concepts 2023 in Beijing

Gurugram, November 3, 2023: Jindal Stainless, India’s largest stainless steel manufacturer, has won seven gold and one silver awards at the International Convention on Quality Concepts (ICQC) 2023 for excellence in quality management. The prestigious award, announced at a four-day event held in Beijing, China, recognises the company’s initiatives in improving and implementing operational excellence at the shopfloor.

Over 900 companies across diverse industries from 13 countries such as India, China, Indonesia, Korea, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand and Zambia participated in the 48th edition of the annual convention. While the five teams from Hisar won four gold and one silver, all three teams from Jajpur bagged gold. The evaluation parameters included the method of project selection, cause analysis, effectiveness of countermeasure formulation, degree of achievement of project objectives, and level of standardisation. 

On the occasion, Managing Director, Mr Abhyuday Jindal, Jindal Stainless, said, “Jindal Stainless has been a consistent winner at the ICQC over the years. The award this year is a recognition of our unwavering commitment to ensuring excellence in our overall operations that ultimately impact our societal and economic decisions. We have set up 440 quality circle teams at the shopfloor at both our plants in order to facilitate problem-solving to achieve excellence in operational efficiency.”

Recently, Jindal Stainless’ Hisar team won 42 gold, seven silver and one bronze award at the 34th Chapter Convention on Quality Concepts (CCQC) – Delhi Chapter, an annual event organised by the Quality Circle Forum of India (QCFI). The Jajpur team also won 36 Gold Awards at the 5th Chapter Convention organised by QCFI, Bhubaneswar Chapter. They also secured the 2nd highest team participation award from a single organisation.
